Tuscan Landscape

This original oil painting is from a photo from Tuscany - a huge, beautiful fruit tree in full spring bloom, set in an olive orchard and next to vineyards. I haven't been to Tuscany, but the scene reminds me so much of California vineyards and olive trees. I'm happy with the brush strokes on this painting - achieved by using a smaller brush than I normally do.
You may find this painting and the other original oil painting (and lots of other art) at www.yessy.com/ctrue. I'm working on my new website!! I just did something "drastic!" I totally removed my old site from the web so now I really have to make the new site work. Oh my - what have I done????? If this isn't incentive to climb the learning curve fast, I don't know what is. I have to balance my time in front of the computer with time in front of the easel - now that I'm into the daily painting thing. (That's good.) Right now - I better go help my hubby in the garage. Still trying to get organized from the big move. So many "opportunities!"
Have a beautiful day!
I love the Tuscany scene...very nice and the colors are so vibrant. Keep at it!!

Claudia,
I've been thinking about the coffee cup painting. One of my favorites. Of course the Tuscan painting is cool. The kids and I went to Tuscany about 8 years ago. A fabulous place to visit.
So what is going on in the garage? What is Mike hiding in there. Old Pat Schroeder memorabilia!!!!! Hope all is well. I look forward to more on your blog. I actually have never been on one. Not much time to sit in front of the computer but with yours I will make an effort. Kathy

Claudia,
What a great idea! Love your website and blog and of course, your art. You'll do anything to stay out of the mess in the garage. Keep painting and blogging.
What fun!

Claudia, I love this Tuscan work. The colors are still vibrant which is so indicative of your work....and what I love. I miss knowing I can stop in and say hello at the studio but happy things are going well for you all. Look forward to your blog. I've never followed one before. New experience for several of us it seems. God bless.

Boy you are really brave. A painting a day! I'd be tempted to cheat and do 5 in one day and take the rest of the week off. Love the new oils- always thought their colors were better. Not so garrish. How are you going to get Don Mason to photo the work from Kansas?

Hi Claudia--the Tuscan Landscape is beautiful, very YOU. Reminds me of the base of the Grapevine when in "bloom," only prettier. I also like your first oil painting a LOT--I was immediately drawn to it when I opened the blog--the colors and the looseness.
My hearty congrats on doing a daily art blog. I love reading them, been enticed, but haven't committed. Maybe once again you will inspire me!

Hi Claudia: This is my first blog! Only for you would I do this. I love every painting. I especially love the Mustard Valley. The golden yellow against the burgundy makes it absolutely stricking. I love the Tuscan piece also. The white tree against the ambers and golden colors of the earth is beautiful. P.S. I'm with Kathy, do all your paintings in one sitting and use one each day for your daily commitment.
