Today was a short painting day.  "Life!"  Doctor appointment in the morning - pick up art from a show this afternoon - buy groceries because I don't have a clue what's for dinner.  But I did it!  When you only have a little time to paint, do a little painting!  These small pieces are perfect gifts - maybe for a new graduate or a birthday or even something special for yourself.  And they're fun to do.  I can practice or play or experiment with brushstrokes.  It's important to have fun in art.  Some days you have to do the "serious thing" - but some of my most successful art (in my opinon) has been done in those playful times.  I'm still mastering oils - not sure they're all that fun yet, but I certainly learned something.

I'm off to pick up art from my first show in Kansas City.  Have a beautiful day!
