Today we bought some flowers to plant in the front - finally. It's finally not raining! At least not for a few days. We also bought tomato plants. Not sure why - I've never planted tomatoes this late. But we're in Kansas - not California. And we're not really sure where to put them. Mike may build some raised garden beds in the future. We have the cutest little rabbit in the back yard. So fun to watch, but we're not sure how he's going to do with the garden stuff. I was reading several weeks ago about how great parsley does here, and also how the rabbits just love parsley. Hmmmm..... That little critter is influencing my thinking about gardening in this area. Have to figure out this challenge.
We bought a butterfly bush today and also need to find a home for it. I hope to see lots and lots of butterflies flitting around in our yard in the future. We have beautiful cardinals and several bird feeders - but that's another issue. Our little squirrel gets in the bird feeder and eats all the seeds! Another new challenge. We'll figure it out.
Have a beautiful day and maybe one filled with your own butterflies!

It is lovely... You are "lucky" to have a rabbit in your yard...is this a pet or a wild one? How cute.....

This is a wild rabbit. He (?) and a partner did a little mating dance on Easter. That was totally amazing!! We have rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks (Mike has a special pal who waits every morning for his Cheerios), a pair of cardinals and other pretty birds that I need to recognize - and lots of black birds. Our Baxter kitty sits at the back door on his chair - watching all the entertainment outside!
