Zinnias I

This is my somewhat traditional interpretation of a vase filled with zinnias.  Those flowers can have the most brilliant colors!  Last Thursday I started this painting at a new workshop at Artichokes.  We're going to paint a meal - the first night in the series we painted the floral arrangement.  What a great idea!  I came home and worked on it a little to add some punch.  Tomorrow I'll do a funky version of zinnias - stay tuned!

Sorry I didn't post anything last Friday.  My two very dear friends were in town and we just had to catch up and solve all kinds of problems and hang out like we did in college.  The weather was beautiful last week in Kansas City.  We didn't even turn on the air conditioner!  And we ate outside that night.  Great - except for mosquitos.  That's something I'm not enjoying.  Oh well - most of K.C. is nice and those little critters didn't interupt my visit with my pals.

Take care and have a beautiful evening!
