I've had a photo of this scene hanging on my easel for about 3 weeks - waiting for the right inspiration!  This is today's interpretation of that photograph.  Another red day!  I think I'll clean up the palms a bit tomorrow but I like the simplicity of the palms against the dramatic mountains not far behind them, and so close to the water in front of them.  This is an area visited by almost everyone who goes to Catalina Island, California.  It's on the beach where the ferries come ashore - and the cruise ships take their passengers to this spot.  Beautiful!
