This is a variation on last Friday's "Joe's Diner" entry.  But this is REALLY fun and crazy!  Sometimes ya just gotta do it!  This is an experiment with lots of texture and line work.  The paint is 3-dimensional, the background is tissue paper glued to the canvas.  I remember one of my special collectors - Curtis Darling - telling me that he liked my art best when I'm a little weird.  Curtis is no longer with us, but I remember that comment lots of times when I'm getting too traditional or conservative.  Nothing wrong with traditional and conservative, but I don't want to totally abandon this fun approach to art.

I haven't forgotten the new variation of pink prickly pears.  The next painting may be more ambitious and may be something I work on for several days - a big one for a change.  So keep checking.

And - you might see tomatoes sometime soon, too.  We went to a tomato festival at Farrand Farms near Raytown, Missouri.   I never knew there were so many varieties of tomatoes - and these are definitely one of my favorite foods!

Take care and have a beautiful week -
