This is inspired by a potted plant given to us by our daughter - for keeping our granddaughter (her daughter) last week.  She certainly didn't need to do that, but we'll enjoy the plant and flowers and it's an idea for a painting!  What a wonderful gift!  Several of the plants in the arrangement can be transplanted in our backyard.  It's a gift that will keep on giving for many years.  I love that!

Well - it continues to be hot here in Kansas City, as it is in so many places.  And humid.  We knew the humidity would be an adjustment from our days in the desert.  We're adjusting - or rather we're staying inside.  With my trusty ol' digital camera, I can take photos of the outside inspirations and then paint from them inside.  I can't wait to see what Falls are like here - so many beautiful trees that are green now and should give a spectacular color show "soon."

Take care - stay cool - and have a beautiful evening!
