Happy Friday and Happy Labor Day weekend.  What better way to kick it off than with a big ol' bright red flower!  I love it that tropical plants like Hibiscus grow right here in Kansas City.  We can pretend to be in the tropics.  I gave my husband a hibiscus plant for Father's Day - wasn't he lucky?  This big beautiful flowers are amazing.  When we visited Powell Gardens near K.C., I was amazed at how big the blossoms can be.  I can't wait to plant more of these in our yard as we do more landscaping.  With this painting, I'm sharing with you a little bit of our view from our kitchen.  Pretty nice!

This has been a busy week.  Painted at Cedar Creek, celebrated (again) our granddaughter's birthday, did my "grand opening" of my online art business, and went to a great art opening where two of my oil gurus are showing.  Little by little we're getting settled in here.  We're almost ready for a 3 day weekend!

I hope each of you have a fun, safe and beautiful holiday weekend!
