Three Crazy Flowers

Today was one of those "what to paint?" days.  It took me forever to be inspired.  I had doctor appointments this morning and ran errands, came home with a blank brain as far as inspiration.  So, I putzed around and thought and looked through some of my piles of "someday painting ideas."  Finally I found something - which looks nothing like this, except that it has flowers.  Great!!!  You never know what's going to connect in that part of the brain that says - fun idea, go for it.  I used a pallett knife which is very freeing and this painting ended up looking very different than my original idea.  That's okay.  The hardest thing sometimes is just to start.  I love it when a painting takes on a mind of its own - and this one certainly did.

I hope you're having a very inspired and beautiful day!

I like it! Surprised that I like the pink on top of the red, but I do! I love doing knife painting and I enjoy seeing the results. The background is nicely layered and I like the movement on the vase.
