These paintings remind me of my days in San Antonio, Texas.  The annual Fiesta is such a fun celebration in that city. "Night in Old San Antonio" was a huge party time - especially because I was a college kid when I lived there.  Great food, Mariachi music, lots of beer of course - and these cute little cascarones - egg shells filled with confetti that you smash on the heads of your friends, sometimes new friends.  We thought that was so fun and funny!!  The "head smashing cascarone thing" is a big part of Night in Old San Antonio.  It definitely loosens you up and adds to the party feeling.   People all throughout San Antonio make these confetti eggs throughout the year and sell them to raise money.  Fun, fun, fun!!!  During Night in Old San Antonio, confetti is everywhere - the air, your clothes, in your beer . . . .  Somehow that mess just seems to make sense.

These little paintings were done to add to my "Small Treasures" inventory.  It's holiday shopping time!  These are an inexpensive little gift of original art - sure to delight you friends and family!  Here's a hint to my loyal blog readers:  I'm doing a "no shipping charge" promotion right after Thanksgiving.  If you see something you want, let me know and I'll let you have free shipping now.  This way you get the first pick of art.  That's a real thanks for following my art and for your support.

Fiesta's such a beautiful and festive event!  Make your own beautiful Fiestas during these holiday times.
