Autumn

Today's entry is a tribute to Autumn, our cat who died last Thursday.  She's been battling some undiagnosed illness since just before Easter.  We thought we were on a path for healing, but that didn't happen.  What a sweetheart she was.  I called her my little art kitty - she loved playing with my paint brushes (?) and especially liked a small one with a blue handle.  That's okay - she was my baby.  She also was a little paper clip gal when she was young.  Loved to retrieve paper clips!  That was different.  She and I would play "paper clip" every night after dinner.  So fun.  I know - so weird.  This little gal was only 9 years old.  She gave us much joy in those few years.  I miss her very much and am also thankful for the gift of having her in our lives.

There have been many good things going on in my life as well.  Starting tomorrow I'll share those with you and I'll share some work of my students from a recent workshop.

Autumn was a beautiful little lady.  We have two more who give us great comfort.  Right now there's just a big hole in our hearts - but it's also filled with beautiful memories.
