Paso Robles and the central California coast are possibly my favorite places of all!  My new favorite vineyard and winer producer is Graveyard Vineyards!!  Well - they're right up at the top of my list.  I was invited to paint the art for their wine label and have gotten to know Paula and Rob Campbell-Taylor through this experience.  This year they asked me to show my art at their place during the Paso Robles Wine Festival.  Of course I had to do it!  This was a great excuse for Mike and me to head to our favorite place, and to hang out with these fun people.  Paula's in the black and white dress above - making lots of wine sales.  Woo Hoo!!!  They're a tiny little winery in their baby (maybe early adolescence) stage and they're already winning awards for their wines.  You can see my art setup in the top photo - and my dear friend Betty Blair enjoying the wine in the middle photo.  Will send some photos of the vineyards later when I paint them.  This is truly a family business with all family members involved.  When we got there, Rob and Paula's boys were hosing down furniture, mowing the yard and doing tons of other stuff getting ready for the big day.  (They also sheered a sheep for 4H - snuck that in the day somehow!)  Their daughter and some of her friends were in from L.A. area to help pour and do just about everything else.  Rob's mother and aunt were washing glasses and keeping things going.  It's such fun to be part of this winery from the beginning.  They're going for it in a big way and they're making it work.  I think they're enjoying it, too - when they have time to breathe . . . . . 

This trip was another of the "good" things going on now.  I sold lots of art, got good photos for inspirations for future paintings, visited a beautiful place and got to catch up with many dear friends.  Life is good!
