I have to do one more painting for my 2009 food and art calendar - but this isn't the one.   Our recipe for November is Turkey Panini.  Well - this panini turned into a cheeseburger!  I was going for the fall colors, but I think I ended up with more of a tropical look instead.  At first I was really bummed - UNTIL I looked at this painting with new "eyes" and thought it's still a fun painting - just not a turkey sandwich with an autumn flare.  I bought all the stuff to make the recipe, but the bread dried up before I used it.  SOOO - I bought a turkey panini sandwich from Panera and I'm painting that.  And we got to enjoy the sandwich!  Great excuse to buy a sandwich from Panera!!!!  Not on my eating plan - my husband ate most of it and he didn't complain at all.

I think this cheeseburger is kind of cute!  Beautiful?  Maybe.  Sure looks like paradise!  Now back to that panini painting . . . .
