It's beginning to feel a lot like WINTER!!!  Okay - Christmas, too.  Today's painting is about the brisk (!) air that's here in Kansas City.  These little flowers are hanging in there but they're shivering a little - don't ya think?  This is our 2nd full winter season here - we're beginning to see trends, like the cute little "snow birds" (Juncos) that return each cold weather season.  They join the other beautiful birds in our yard - cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, lots of dove.  We keep birdseed outside our kitchen area and it's a great show of nature to watch all the birds feed.  Drives our cats nuts!   Our backyard still has a few few strong flowers hanging in there.  They won't last long, so we're enjoying their final "hurah!"

Don't forget to order your 2009 "The Art of Cooking" calendars.  We're getting great reviews from those who already have them.  We'll even send them to your shopping list if you want.  Talk about easy shopping!

Enjoy your beautiful flowers - either in your yard or on this blog!
