What a fun day at Olive Tree in Leawood, Ks.  This was the introduction of "Cooking with Friends" 2012 calendars in the Kansas City area.  And the beginning of several calendar signing events throughout the holiday shopping season.  

This is the 4th cooking and art calendar that Holly Bikakis and I have put together.  Each month has a recipe from a friend, and a painting I did to interpret that recipe.  So that means we've collected a LOT of new recipes, and I've done a lot of paintings of "food!"  I never set out to be a "painter of food" - but here I am!  It's been fun finding "foodie" places to show this art and to market the calendars.  Mindy Riley and others at Olive Tree are great to work with - and they have super delicious olive oils and balsamic vinegars in so many delicious flavors! Delicious combination - food and art - but we knew that . . . .
